Job Description

1. Scope of working: English Translator role is to convert written documents from English language to Khmer language and vise versa while maintaining the precise meaning of the original text. The goal is to make the content understandable and true from errors by working with other related department. 2. Duties & responsibilities: - Study original texts and transcripts of recorded spoken material to understand the subject matter. - Translate the meaning and feeling of written material in the appropriate register and style. - Translate a wide range of written material, including business letters, application forms, legal texts, Research documents and detailed scientific articles. - Make sure that phraseology and terminology in legal, technical and scientific texts are accurately translated. - Supply subtitles for film documentary and television programs. - Revise translations done by others. - Doing Research and Support the reporter team. - Maintain good working relationships with your manager and your peer. - Perform other tasks assign by direct manager and General Manager 3. Working Days and Hours - Monday to Friday : 8:00am to 12:00am & 1:00pm to 5:00pm - Saturday : 8:00am to 12:00am - Lunch time : 12:00pm to 1:00pm 4. Work place - English Translator is based at Head Officer of Blue Media (Films) Cambodia. 5. Requirement

6. Qualification & requirement: - A bachelor's degree in English Literature, Media, or a similar skill. - 2 or more years of related work experience of translating in Media Industry/Private Company. - Must be able to use Office software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point .etc.) - Must be excellent command of written and spoken English. - Fluency or ability to use one or many other languages is an advantage. - Wide understanding of different cultures and broad general knowledge. - Initiative and research skills and able to maintain confidentiality. - Good communication, interpersonal skills and wide understanding on social issued. - Able to pay attention to detail, write clear, concise and objectively based. - Able to work under pressure to meet deadline. - Applicants submitted with Study Records/Transcripts are highly prioritized. 7.
